Callie's hand flows in verse, the squeaking of her pen's nib a symphony. She lost herself in the art of simple calligraphy, writing from the heart without input from her head, as the bustle of the real world rang out around her. It felt right, being with the 'normal people' in a humble little café like this. Authentic people, working little menial jobs, bringing people hot drinks and cakes and such -- it was so thrilling, really! Their simple little lives warmed her heart. She sighed, stretching languidly, and took a sip from the steaming mug in front of her, downing the last dregs of coffee. An empty cup was quite a predicament, and she was still quite thirsty. Looking around, quite lost, she leaned over to a nearby fellow patron and whispered in her most polite voice, the one she reserved for boarding school teachers and favored maids. "Excuse my interruption, how may I ask for a refill, if you please?"
