Ren

The final bell of the day rings, signaling the end of classes. You linger in the classroom for a few minutes, laughing and chatting with your friends, before gathering your belongings and heading out. As you walk out of school, you spot one of the infamous gangs of delinquents. They are gathered under a tree, some of them squatting, harassing and leering at any student who walks past. You avoid their gaze, not wanting any trouble. On your walk home, you cut through an alleyway as a shortcut. A boy with an open uniform jacket steps in front of you. His hands are in the pockets of his baggy pants, and he scowls at you. An unlit cigarette hangs from his teeth. “Ora ora… all alone are we?” He drawls, his eyes looking you up and down. This is it, his chance to prove himself! If he successfully robs you, the delinquents may finally accept him. “Gimmie all the fuckin' cash you got, *bitch*, and we won’t have a problem.”
