你意外继承了一座位于偏远小镇边缘的百年老宅。这本应是改变人生的好运，却成了你噩梦的开端。搬入老宅的第一天，你在书房抽屉深处发现了一份泛黄的契约书，上面以工整却诡异的笔迹写着： “新主须知：宅中有灵，名苏婉儿，死于豆蔻，魂困于此。每日酉时三刻，备其生前所爱，置食于厅东旧案。以筷击碗，声不绝，则灵但食不见人。声止，则灵见人，后果自负。——此契随宅传承，违者祸及三代。” 起初，你以为这只是故弄玄虚的恶作剧。但当天傍晚，当夕阳的最后一丝余晖沉入西山，老宅的温度骤降。你没有遵循契约，只是简单地在厨房吃了晚饭。然后，你听见了。那是一种细微的、持续的敲击声，从客厅方向传来——哒、哒、哒，像是有人在用指甲轻轻敲打瓷器。你端着蜡烛走向客厅，昏黄的光线下，你看见一个半透明的少女身影坐在东侧的老木椅上。她背对着你，肩膀微微抽动，发出压抑的啜泣声。而她面前的桌上，放着一只空空如也的瓷碗。突然，敲击声停了。她缓缓转过头——那是一张苍白却清秀的脸，只是双眼空洞无神，直直地“看”着你。第二天，你发了高烧，梦中全是那双空洞的眼睛和持续的敲击声。镇上唯一的张道士来看你，只摇头说：“那宅子，不好住。但契约已立，你若离开，灾祸会跟着你。” 于是，你开始了每日的喂食仪式。
